I was looking for information on Sarah Palin for my own purposes of research.

But, you know what, someone who is transgendered, transexual or transvestite should likewise be as insulted as someone who is just a natural born woman by the very idea that people are out there who are totally lying and denying what they are, trying to trick other people.

I mean, if she is a tranny... shhh .. if she is any one of the types of persons that are often called tranny ... and, she's lying about it, why? To glorify herself and to hide the shame of the truth of her existence. To get the edge on real women by pretending to be one, but, better.

Shouldn't someone who feels they have a reason to get that sort of surgery be something other than ashamed and lying about it? They wouldn't feel that way, if they weren't all about lies and deceit.

So, you shouldn't be offended by the idea that someone may have meant to insult a person who is out there pretending to be something they are not - or, probably that's what they are doing You should be insulted that the person who is doing the pretending is insulting both all trans-persons and all women, at the same time and lying to the entire world - at least, probably, that is what they are doing.

Get your priorities straight. Intentional deceit and insult is much worse than privately spoken unintentional insult And, it would be unintentional if it insulted anyone but Sarah Palin, the perceived liar to and insulter of all.Lemon Squeezehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07739114018323331575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1840022797230622882.post-1790107948095021752012-08-10T19:21:19.894-04:002012-08-10T19:21:19.894-04:00Nice to find some overlap between anti-capitalist ...Nice to find some overlap between anti-capitalist and sex-positive tendencies. I went hunting for "transdyke" on Google and found your blog which is a refreshing change from the "Once a penis possessing potential rapist male, always a penis possessing potential rapist male" diatribe I found elsewhere. I spent a family Christmas in a welter of mis-gendered pronouns and my old name. Seriously, I've been on hormones just over a year now, I dressed femme to make it obvious...how on earth do you manage to "forget"?

I think the thing that gets me is that I spend so much time and effort teasing out the threads of my identity, resolving the inconsistencies, packaging it all up as neatly and coherently as I possibly can to say to the world, "This is me." Mis-gendered pronouns, automated forms that refuse to reflect my reality and a thousand other tiny ways in which the world says "Not it's not." just make me want to scream. I'm the one who spends time in critical thought on this every day, I'm the one who reads everything I can lay my hands on regarding gender identity, I'm the one who spent a year desperately telling myself I didn't have to tear my life apart, destroy my marriage and turn myself into a figure of public ridicule until even trying to tell myself that made my mind rebel and go blank and left me curled into a foetal ball sobbing or catatonic.

Yeah, actually, we do know who we are. I'm over people who think they know who I am better than I do.Forthhttp://sacred-chao.livejournal.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1840022797230622882.post-53322653967392664102011-12-06T16:19:14.124-05:002011-12-06T16:19:14.124-05:00So agreed, Asher.

That shit's been around since the '70s and the racist appropriation bullshit is really getting on my nerves. So you know the vast majority of trans women, do you? I call bullshit. A cis woman friend of mine also calls bullshit on the idea that trans women act like men and she knows a few, which is likely way more than you. Trans women are women. Period. The feminist movement is not just for cis women or even just for women. If it's only for women, cis or otherwise, it's self-defeating. I left your comment here because I like people to see the bullshit trans people, especially trans women, get. But comment anonymously with this crap again and it's getting deleted.Lucyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02885002383543350633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1840022797230622882.post-12423922025967457962011-12-05T07:07:37.234-05:002011-12-05T07:07:37.234-05:00No other movement has to cope with this issue. Have not been brought up as Women etc. The vast majority act like Men. The black movement does not have to cope with white people putting black make-up on, declaring themselves black and bossing black people in the movement about. Why does the feminist movement have to accept people who fundamentally DO NOT understand ciswomen's issues? People who insist on entering women only spaces and act like men (which they always do for they were brought up that way). It's time TransWomen realised they are TransWomen NOT Women. Feminists are happy for your right to be TransWomen. TransWomen should be happy for us to have our rights and our own spaces as CISWOMEN.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1840022797230622882.post-57189418069541365362011-06-30T18:02:38.697-04:002011-06-30T18:02:38.697-04:00nov 20 is my birthdaynov 20 is my birthdayPetehttp://howareyou.usnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1840022797230622882.post-1793763037027504772011-06-11T04:56:53.077-04:002011-06-11T04:56:53.077-04:00For an excellent example of this: Judy Rebick test...For an excellent example of this: Judy Rebick testifying for Vancouver Rape Relief at their trial with Cynthia Nixon as plaintiff. First therapist I had that I came out to did this repeatedly, kept saying "Well, you're a nice young man, and hey, don't even worry about your hairline receding or trying to pass. I look at you, anyone looks at you, and sees an obvious male. Why worry about it!?" Yeah, I didn't go to him for long.

I'm only just started out in my transition and still stealth, so I haven't had to deal with the tough, hard fought stuff yet, but it was, absolutely, a decision between that or suicide, like you said. Even still, I struggle with doubts, fears I'm not really transgendered, but rather just a freak (or autogynephile, as I guess it's called. That somehow worries me more than anything else), all that stuff. So I guess, even in secret, I HAVE fought and still am fighting some really tough battles. I was not abused as a child. Therefore, that opinion is not backed up by the facts and is both awful AND wrong.

I admit I almost left the comment was just so cartoonish and ridiculous, and I would like cis people to see the kind of nonsense trans people have to put up with where people feel free to suggest we're basically "broken" and "in denial" because of some awful trauma (similar to how some people suggest lesbians are lesbian because they were traumatised in various ways). They haven't. And, where they have improved they certainly haven't done so on their own. They've had to be prodded and pushed by trans people. Basically, most cis feminists still theorise about gender as though all women are AFAB and all men are AMAB and there are no other genders. When they (rarely) acknowledge trans people they do so in a way that indicates they have not seriously thought about how trans existence challenges almost all gender concepts.Lucyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02885002383543350633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1840022797230622882.post-44221445715355497232010-06-27T19:02:04.948-04:002010-06-27T19:02:04.948-04:00The attitude which you have conflicts with is a re...The attitude which you have conflicts with is a relic of first- second-wave feminism, before gender theory became deconstructed and the notion of arbitrary gender became more fashionable.
